The Newton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary was organized in October 1985.  The main purpose of the Auxiliary is to give assistance as needed or requested by the Newton Fire Department.  The Auxiliary also participates in community events and fundraisers throughout each year.

The members of this organization are parents, spouses, children, stepchildren, grandchildren and widows of members of the Newton Fire Department and active members of company auxiliaries.  The Auxiliary also welcomes Associate membership, which must be sponsored by a member of the Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary meets the third Friday of every month, except July and August, at 8:00 p.m. at the # 2 & 3 firehouse at the corner of Woodside and Lawnwood Avenue in Newton.
